Keith S. Miller joined Wilkerson & Bryan, P.C. in 2000 after practicing in Mobile, Alabama for a number of years. His practice in Mobile focused on General Civil Litigation and Appellate Litigation. He represented companies in mass toxic tort cases, complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, employment litigation, construction litigation, product liability litigation and Worker’s Compensation claims. He also defended individuals and businesses who had been sued as a result of personal injuries. When he joined Wilkerson & Bryan, Mr. Miller continued to focus on General Civil Litigation and Appellate Litigation while also expanding his practice to include Administrative Law with an emphasis on health care issues and representing communication providers and utility companies both before regulatory agencies and in state and federal courts.

Mr. Miller left Wilkerson & Bryan, P.C. in June, 2004 to join the Office of the Attorney General where he served as the Chief Deputy Attorney General for Policy for six months and the Chief Deputy for a little over 3 years. As the Chief Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Miller served as the Attorney General’s representative on the Alabama Securities Commission, the Chief Justice’s Task Force on Indigent Defense and the Judicial Study Commission and was actively involved in drafting and reviewing legislation. He also argued before the Alabama Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Multi-District Litigation Panel.

Mr. Miller’s current practice continues to focus on General Civil Litigation, Administrative Law and Appellate Litigation. This work includes litigation at both the trial and the appellate level that concerns personal injury claims, employment matters, insurance disputes, state and federal constitutional issues, claims against state employees and state agencies, commercial litigation, gaming issues and matters involving election laws. He also continues to represent communication providers and utilities as well as advising clients on a variety of governmental relations matters.

Mr. Miller is active in community and civic affairs. He is a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church where he has served as a Sunday School teacher, a Lay Eucharistic Minister and a delegate to the Diocesan Convention. He is the Vice President of the Montgomery Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, a member of the Board of the Montgomery Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association, a member of the State Board and Governmental Relations Committee for the Alabama Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association, a member of the Kiwanis, and a member of the Montgomery County Republican Party Executive Committee. He previously served as a member of the Executive Committee for the Alabama Republican Party. He is a member of the Federalist Society and previously served as the Co-Chairman of the State Administrative Law Sub-Committee. He is also a member of the Hugh Maddox Inn of Court and the Republican National Lawyers Association.
