Mr. Wilkerson's practice
encompasses communications, utility, health care and general business
law, and includes representing clients before federal, state and
local agencies and governmental bodies. He has served as counsel
for buyers and sellers in acquisitions, financing and mergers in
the technology, communications and utility fields. He has also represented
businesses in litigation involving contract disputes, stock rights,
property issues, state and local taxes and employment law. During
his career, has been appointed to serve as an administrative law
judge in the health care, licensure and environmental fields. Mr.
Wilkerson also has extensive experience representing clients in
litigation involving state and local taxes, resulting in million
of dollars of refunds and avoided tax liability.
Mr. Wilkerson is active in community and civic affairs
and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Prison Fellowship
Ministries. He is prior chairman of the Mount Meigs Youth Facility
Chapel Board and in 1993 was appointed to the Governor's Emergency
Prison Task Force. He has also served as chairman of the Alabama
Bar Association Administrative Law Section, Communications Law Section
and the Standing Committee on Correctional Institutions and Procedures.
